Hi all,
I have more coral lipsticks to show you. Most of them are coral shades. As you now im a huge fan of coral lipsticks and it is basically the only tone that looks good on me.
And as you all know that Mac Cosmetic just released a new collection earlier in June called All About Orange. This collection is my favorite of all Mac collections by far. I can't thank Mac enough for all the lovely coral and orange shade lipsticks. They are all so fab!
So below is a pic of all my collected coral lipsticks. I will make another post with more in-depth review n swatches of all All About Orange lipsticks I have hauled ;)

Make Up Forever Rouge Artist Lipsticks

Hi guys,
I have a mini haul for you. Actually I shouldn't call it a haul since there are only three items of my most recent purchase from Sephora. The other day I just needed to get a back-up eyeliner (just a basic eyeliner by Sephora in coffee.) Taking some time checking out new stuffs in the store and I found these lipsticks by Make Up Forever. Most of my lip products are drugstore as you know that I am not a big fan of high-end cosmetic. I love affordable makeups; however, I could not resist these guys because their color pay-off is so gorgeous. After swatching the samples on my hand, I picked out three and their shades are in the same color family. You can see from the pictures that are all peachy/ coral/ orange tone. I have wearing these lipsticks the last few days and I would say I do enjoy wearing them. It is strange to say that my lips are very sensitive because most of lipsticks out there would suck the life out of my lips and leave them chapped, cracked and uncomfortable. So most of the time I would  go for tinted lip balms instead.  And I'm so glad I got these guys because they are very moisturizing as well as very pigmented so I enjoy the color pay-off more than tinted lip balms. Also they are all my favorite shades which are so hard to pass up.  I love peachy/ coral/ orange tone lip products and they work perfectly for me in term of not leaving me looking pale and sick like pink tone and cool tone lipsticks do. Because my skin is yellow under tone, I never look good with pink tone or cool tone lipsticks. And it's even harder for me to find a nude shade that flatters.
Each of these lipstick is $20 at Sephora. And it's my first time trying Make Up Forever lip products so I was a bit skeptical and only chose three shades. There is a quite large collection of these lipsticks with a variety of shades. Awesome! I will definitely check them out and hopefully expand my own collection of Make Up Forever lipsticks.
*Little side note: I love the packaging, it's so sleek. It feels nice in your hand and very sturdy as well, it's not something would easily break. Also, it really bothers me if I'm wearing lipsticks smell weird or too over powering. And the scent of these lipsticks is very nice, it's not something to overwhelming which I can't take.
 Below are pictures and swatches:
Make Up Forever Rouge Artist Natural N40 Pastel Coral
I'm so glad I've finally found my perfect nude shade :) This lipstick is actually the most moisturizing among all.
***
Make Up Forever Rouge Artist Natural N41 Watermelon
This shade look a bit too orange in picture but it is a very soft and warm shade of peach color with a slightest hint of pink. This is my favorite among all three.
***
Make Up Forever Rouge Artist Intense N39 Satin Orange Coral
This is the most pigmented lipstick among all. I love this shade so much of how it give my face a very "just right" pop of color when I'm wearing very neutral eye make-up. It looks a bit reddish on camera but trust me this is a truly perfect coral shade.

Makeup blending applicator

Wandering around TJ Maxx and I found this makeup blending sponge. I am not sure if this is the real deal or just a cheap version of the popular Beauty Blender because I have never got my hands on those. To be honest, I don't feel like spending around $20 for just a sponge. So I picked this up and wanted to give this a try since it is only $4.99 at TJ Maxx. It is called Beauty Pro Revive Makeup Blending Applicator. I think as long as it does the job then I don't need to spend more money for those high-end and pricy beauty blenders.
So after trying it out, I think I like it very much. Normally, I usually apply foundation with a flat top kabuki brush so of course the finish is different. But so far this sponge doesn't disappoint me. It's quite a quick process applying the foundation, and I like the finish of my foundation using this sponge with dapping motions to build the coverage. And I actually damped it before hand. From my experience, the sponges tend to soak up the liquid foundation when using them dry which is a waste and I feel it is easier to spread the foundation on my face when the sponge is damped.
Another thing I like about this sponge is that it has the pointy ends which I can easily apply the foundation at corners around my eyes and my nose.
Another note, it is latex free and hypoallergenic. And it's kind of fun to see it expanding when wetting it in water ;)
Overall I think my 5 bucks purchase is worthed.

Laneige Water Sleeping Pack

This mask is very good as a instant moisturizer other than that I don't have any good things to say about it. I've used this mask for a while now and about once a week or whenever I think my skin needs it. When I apply the mask on my face, there is an instant cool and relaxing feeling like my skin get hydrated with tons of water. In the winter time, I use this mask more often than summer time because I have combination oily skin. And this is a gel mask so there is nothing too heavy for my skin. Overall, this is a great hydrating mask. I know Laneige now has a new mask called Water Sleeping Pack Plus. I would like to try the new version of this mask too but the beauty store I went to doesn't carry it.  I asked a person works at Laneige store, she told me it works the same as this one, the only difference is the new version is enriched with Vitamin E.That's all for my review, thanks for reading!

Olive oil - beauty goodness

olive_oil.jpg

I want to share with you all, two beauty tips using olive oil that I use on regular basis. First, I use olive oil as make-up remover, I believe a few years ago, after watching Michelle Phan's video on Youtube about using olive oil as make-up remover, and I have used it ever since. It's a great make-up remover, it removes all make-up even water proof make-up. But since it's oil, you do need to use facial cleanser to wash your face after removing all make-up. I don't have any other good things to say about it beside it does great job removing make-up and super affordable. I usually get mine at Trader Joe's, a bottle around $6, it lasts me about 4-5 months. Here is Michelle Phan's link of how she removes make-up using olive oil:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lc-8onVA5Jk

The second usage of olive oil I use is hair oil treatment. I use olive oil to on my hair once to twice a week. Every time, I only about 3-4 table spoons for my hair from scalp to end. I like to heat the oil to a warm temperature before use to help the oil absorb better into my hair. And I usually do this before shower, apply warm olive oil on my hair, bun and wrap it up with plastic wrapper, and leave it on for about  30 minutes before I go shower and wash everything off. It helps moisturize my hair and give it a shine since I color my hair often, my hair looks very dry and dull.
One thing I want to share if you want to get olive oil and try out these tips. I always get extra virgin olive oil made in Italy. Also, don't get olive oil in clear bottles, the oil tends to rancid very fast, getting olive oil in dark bottles helps slow down the process.

Beauty Elixir

This is the first serum that since the first time I used, I knew right then this is it. I found my elixir. I have been using this serum, Kiehl's midnight recovery serum, religiously every night for almost years now. This product does everything from moisturizing my skin and giving a natural glow. I have combination oily skin, so even though this product is oil based but it never makes my skin feel oily or breaks me out. Especially in the winter time, I have super flaky skin that I always had a hard time putting on make-up no matter what moisturizer I used. But ever since I discovered this serum, there is no more flakiness, no more waking up every morning seeing my skin is so dull and the make-up is not going to help.
This is such a great serum that I will never go for anything else. I first got a sample from Kiehl's counter, after testing it out, I decided to purchase it, a 30ml bottle with a convenient pump . 30ml doesn't sound like you're not getting much but you only need to use it at nights and only 4 drops can cover the entire face and neck. The application is very easy. The serum goes on skin smoothly and absorbs super fast, gives your skin an instant soft and silky feeling. The more I use the more I love it. Any of you have the same problem like I had with dry and flaky skin, give it a try. You don't have to buy the product yet. Just go to Kiehl's counter and ask for a sample, you will see how amazing this serum is. Good luck!

Perfect nail polish for fall/ winter seasons

Hi all,
I'd like to share with you a nail polish that its color is perfect for fall and winter seasons. This is Pure Ice nail polish, the color is Risk Taker. I found this one in Walmart a while back for $1 because Pure Ice polishes were on sale. This is a bronzee ~ taupe color with silver shimmer to it. I was surprise it's such a cheap polish with good quality. The polish goes on nails very smoothly, and the color is very true to what you see in the bottle, however you need two coats to get the color show. Overall, this polish will be my fav for fall and winter. To be honest, I never like dark nail polishes, I like bright and fun colors but for this polish, I'm totally sold. It's just gorgeous on my nails. So if you guys are looking for new polishes for fall and winter, definitely check this one out. Good luck!

Sweet Talker

Working at a conservative place, I can't really have fun with bright colorful nail polish. But I came across this "sweet talker" by Sally Hansen last week but had not tried it on until today n I love it. I am never a girl of pink but this soft pink, kind of on a warmer tone, completely sold me after I put it on. The best thing is work appropriate. ^-^
